Role Description

McGraw Hill is seeking a visionary Vice President of International Product to lead our global Higher Education product strategy and drive product-market-fit across international markets. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of education technology on a global scale, building a world-class product organization that serves diverse markets, cultures, and educational systems.

As a member of the Higher Education Product Leadership Team, you'll report directly to our Chief Product Officer and have a powerful voice in defining how McGraw Hill innovates and competes globally. This role combines strategic product leadership, cross-functional team management, and organizational culture-building into a single high-impact position.

What You’ll Do:

Own International Product Strategy:
Develop and maintain compelling regional product strategies that achieve product-market-fit across geographies. Evaluate and optimize multiple variables—content, platform capabilities, commercialization models, and revenue strategies—to ensure viability and growth.

Lead and Develop International Product Teams:
Manage product team members globally. Build a connected, empowered team that embodies McGraw Hill's culture while maintaining a global perspective. Foster collaboration, mentorship, and professional development across distributed teams.

Shape the Product Roadmap:
Influence our global product roadmap through compelling business cases, persuasive ROI analysis, and attractive revenue opportunities. Advocate for regional priorities while understanding how they fit into our broader product vision.

Drive Localization Excellence:
Establish and lead a cross-functional Center of Excellence responsible for defining world-class localization practices. Drive competitive advantage and speed-to-market across all regions.

Manage Strategic Partnerships:
Cultivate and manage partnerships with organizations that support or deliver aspects of our core product experiences in international markets. Identify, negotiate, and oversee relationships that expand our reach and capabilities.

Foster a Global Product Mindset:
Help instill a global perspective and culture across the entire product organization. Champion regional insights and drive the company's thinking on international education trends.

Qualifications

10 years+ of building educational products globally

8+ years of operational experience leading cross-functional teams, with P&L ownership responsibility

EdTech experience (building content and platforms)

Recognized expertise in product localization practices

Strong financial modeling and business case development skills

Demonstrated experience working directly with C-suite and board-level stakeholders

AI fluency: Understanding of evaluating the impact and cost of AI systems

A track record of driving organizational change in complex environments

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Ability to travel globally – about 50% of the time

Preferred Experience & Skills:

5+ years in Higher Education space

Experience working at or with Big Tech companies

Experience engaging with government agencies or public sector education

Bilingual or multilingual capabilities

Benefits

The pay range for this position is between £200,000 - £220,000 annually.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

An annual bonus plan will be provided as part of the compensation package.
