Lead Product Manager

Role Description

Lead Product Manager at Alteryx, Inc. is responsible for:

Designing, developing, and managing activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.

Serving as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.

Involvement throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades, and maintenance.

Being a recognized subject matter expert with specialized knowledge in the function.

Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from a manager.

Coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals.

Providing solutions to a variety of advanced complex technical projects or business issues.

Possessing complete understanding and wide application of advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in a specialized field.

Determining and developing approaches to solve functional area-related issues.

Seeking new ways to improve department and function within the company.

Regularly providing insight into complex issues and for complex department questions.

Setting or participating in department goal setting and providing direction for junior staff members.

Qualifications

Advanced technical knowledge with some knowledge in related disciplines.

Strong skills acquired through advanced training, study, and experience.

Possession of a four-year college degree or additional relevant experience in a related field.

Minimum of 8 years functional experience including at least 5 years of position-specific experience.

Requirements

Ability to influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.

Enhanced level understanding of the department and its role in supporting the organization.

Ability to work easily with other departments to determine strategy and processes.
