Electronic Funds Transfer Specialist

Responsibilities
Initiate domestic and international wire transactions through an automated funds transfer delivery system
Process all wires received through the Federal Reserve Banking system
Evaluate and assess the relative risk of transfer requests per laws, regulations and bank policy
Assist in ensuring that the accounts receiving credit are in agreement with the actual wire instructions received from the sending institution
Evaluate wire requests validating wire instructions and authorizations
Perform call-back processing to validate the authenticity of an outgoing transaction
Assist in compiling daily stats relating to the Wire Room for daily settlement
Maintain the correct balance between risk management and department efficiency
Ensure timely processing of wire requests and reply to customer inquiries
Process new customer recurring wire setup in a timely manner
Complete OFAC security validation on required wires
Assist with department audits
Assist with daily work archiving
Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) with 3-5 years of experience in a financial institution
Knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures and State / Federal banking regulations with special emphasis on those impacting wire processing compliance
Excellent customer service, written / verbal communication, and telephone skills
Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to communicate with various levels of Management
Ability to handle multiple priorities independently and evaluate data to solve problems
Sufficient computer skills overall, must include Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to function as an integral member of a Team
Flexibility and enthusiasm to work in many capacities within the department
Act as a change agent, demonstrating a willingness to learn new systems, procedures, and business areas
Demonstrated willingness to learn (systems, procedures etc.)
Prior experience using Jack Henry, Synergy a plus
Working knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to Wire Transfer regulations
Operate extremely well under pressure
Wage Range:
The salary for this position ranges from $18.37 to $23.32
