Job Duties
Develop and lead the overarching marketing and communications strategy for PCYC’s three program models—The Capri, PYC Arts & Tech High School, and after-school programs including the Capri Best Buy Teen Tech Center.

Direct PCYC’s aesthetic vision and voice across all content, including graphic identity, collateral materials, digital platforms, advertising, promotional programs, and signage. Oversee the establishment and enforcement of standards pertaining to tone, personality, voice, and style.

Oversee the development and upkeep of PCYC and The Capri websites, ensuring clear messaging, user-friendly navigation, and up-to-date, relevant content.

Work with program directors to create marketing and audience engagement plans, along with accessible registration pages that welcome scholars and community members to Capri and PCYC programs and events.

Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, managing external and media relations with timely responses to press inquiries. Compose and distribute press releases as needed, and advance public awareness of PCYC’s programs, impact, and role in the community.

Utilize both traditional and innovative platforms to build a dynamic and lasting identity for the Capri as a welcoming, inclusive, and premier cultural destination at the local, regional, and national levels.

Lead market research and data analysis using digital metrics and audience surveys to identify trends, inform strategy, and assess marketing and PR impact.

Assist PCYC’s leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other important organizational messages.

Offer recommendations on graphics, clarity, distribution, and program marketing to support relevant departments in preparing required reports.

Work collaboratively with the Development Director and fundraising event consultants in the creation and fulfillment of strategic marketing, corporate sponsorships, and Annual Gala communication in support of PCYC revenue goals.

Develop, implement, and adhere to communications budget.

Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.

Minimum Experience Required
Experience working in nonprofit, arts, education, or community-based organizations.

Background in audience development and community engagement.

Knowledge of storytelling strategies for diverse and intergenerational audiences.

Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus.

Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing and communications strategies.

Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Demonstrated success in media relations, public relations, and serving as a spokesperson.

Proficiency in digital marketing, including email marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, and content strategy.

Experience analyzing digital and audience engagement data to drive decision-making.

Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong cultural competency and commitment to equity and inclusion in communications.

Experience managing marketing budgets and vendor relationships.

Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet PCYC’s driving record requirements.
