The Collaborative Pianist provides accompaniment for select choirs, student performances, private lesson instruction, and departmental events. This part-time position requires strong sight-reading and rehearsal skills, flexibility across musical styles, and a commitment to supporting both faculty and student musicians. The pianist will rehearse and perform regularly with ensembles and soloists, contribute to juries and recitals, and maintain a professional, collegial presence within the music program. Hours vary by semester, aligning with the rehearsal and performance calendar.

Bachelor’s Degree.
Demonstrated piano proficiency with excellent sight-reading skills.

Job Duties
Available to rehearse and perform with choirs, soloists, and ensembles, and also play for juries, recitals, and auditions.
May assist with private lessons and student performances, ensuring reliable preparation and flexibility with varied repertoire.
Has a strong sight-reading ability, stylistic versatility (classical, musical theatre, etc.), and collaborative sensitivity.
Is punctual, reliable, and able to work collegially with faculty, staff, and students.
This is a part-time role with variable hours depending on the performance and rehearsal calendar.
Physical Requirements
Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing, and reaching, flexibility, and body movement for bending, crouching, walking, and kneeling.
Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 15 lbs.
