We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Director of Sales to lead revenue strategy for an exciting new hotel brand, Caption by Hyatt, opening in Hillsboro, Oregon.

This is a unique opportunity for a hospitality sales leader who thrives on building market presence, developing high-performing teams, and driving revenue growth from the ground up. As a member of the hotel leadership team, you will be responsible for growing market share, securing new business, and creating lasting client relationships throughout the Portland metro region.

Key Responsibilities

Drive hotel revenue through strategic sales and business development efforts.

Prospect, solicit, negotiate, and close new corporate, group, and local business.

Conduct outside sales calls, site tours, and client presentations.

Partner with the General Manager and Revenue Manager on forecasting, budgeting, and revenue strategies.

Analyze market trends, STAR reports, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.

Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.

Maintain sales systems, reporting, and administrative processes to company standards.

What We're Looking For

Proven hotel sales leader with a passion for hospitality and results.

Creative, collaborative, and highly motivated self-starter.

Strong relationship builder with exceptional communication skills.

Ability to inspire teams, solve problems, and adapt in a fast-changing environment.

Local or regional market knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of hotel sales management experience.

Minimum 2 years managing a sales team.

Experience with hotel marketing and revenue generation strategies.

Working knowledge of group and catering sales.

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.

Major hotel brand experience preferred.
