Responsibilities
- Pitch, research, and report local news stories for TV and digital
- Conduct interviews and gather information from diverse sources
- Write, shoot, voice, and edit news packages
- Engage audiences through social media and web platforms
- Collaborate with producers and news managers to shape coverage
- Uphold journalistic standards and editorial integrity
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and station goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of reporting experience preferred
- Strong on-air presence and storytelling skills
- Proficiency in newsroom technology and editing software
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
