Reports To: Music Facilities Technical Director; Chair, Department of Music
Location: Tahlequah Campus
Compensation: $3750 per semester (average of 10 hours per week)
Position Overview: The Music Facilities Coordinator supports the Department of Music with a combination of event support, administrative tasks, audio engineering for live performance, and post‑production editing.
This position is ideal for someone with a background in live sound production, event coordination, and technical stage work. This is a part‑time position, offering flexibility with some remote work possible depending on scheduling and event needs.
Key Responsibilities: Event & Guest Artist Logistics Support Department of Music events with set‑up and breakdown of performance spaces
Support rental events at the NSU Jazz Lab and Center for the Performing Arts
Utilize a variety of provided audio/video equipment to create high quality recordings of live concerts and events
Oversee front of house sound for Department of Music events
Qualifications: Experience with audio engineering for live performance and post‑production
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Knowledge of a wide variety of audio/video equipment, including Logic Pro and/or ProTools software
Experience with music event coordination preferred
Knowledge of music and/or a background in music is a plus
Stage lighting experience is preferred
