Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Investor Relations will play a highly visible role at the intersection of finance, strategy, and capital markets. This individual will partner closely with senior leadership to shape investor communications, strengthen relationships with shareholders and analysts, and provide market intelligence that supports strategic decision-making.
This position is

based on-site, full-time, at Kadant’s global headquarters in Westford, Massachusetts . The role is designed for close, day-to-day partnership with the CFO and senior leadership, and is not available on a hybrid or remote basis.
The ideal candidate will combine deep investor relationsexpertisewith strong analytical capabilities, executive presence, and the ability to communicate complex financial and operational information in a clear and compelling manner.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

Investor Engagement & Shareholder Strategy
Serve as a primary point of contact for investors, research analysts, and other members of the investment community.
Coordinate investor meetings, conference participation, non-deal roadshows, and earnings-related outreach activities.
Respond to investor inquiries and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective shareholders.
Monitor shareholder ownership trends, trading activity, and investor sentiment to support targeted engagement efforts.
Identify and research prospective shareholders aligned with the company’s long-term investment profile.
Support the development and execution of the company’s investor marketing and outreach strategy.
Develop and maintain investor presentations, earnings materials, conference content, executive talking points, and related communications.
Partner with senior leadership to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all investor-facing communications.
Monitor analyst estimates, earnings models, and price targets, proactively identifying discrepancies and emerging themes.
Track industry developments, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic trends impacting the company’s end markets.
Provide regular updates and actionable insights to executive leadership regarding market perception, investor feedback, and industry developments.
Strategic Analysis & Executive Support
Prepare and analyze presentations for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, investors, and other key stakeholders.
Support the CFO and senior management team with financial analysis, market intelligence, and investor-related strategic initiatives.
Serve as a bridge between external stakeholders and internal business leaders, ensuring investor feedback is effectively communicated throughout the organization.
Help strengthen the company’s overall investor relations program byidentifyingopportunities to enhance engagement, transparency, and market positioning.
QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, or related fields
Master’s degree or significant experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline preferred
Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information
Deep understanding of public company investor relations practices and capital markets dynamics
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing presentations and materials for both internal and external audiences
Proven ability to build credibility and relationships with investors, analysts, and senior executives
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting and analysis tools
Collaborative, proactive, and team-oriented approach with a high degree of professionalism and accountability
Able to work full-time, on-site at Kadant’s Westford, MA headquarters (this is not a hybrid or remote role)
Willingness to travel for non-deal roadshows and investor conferences routinely
