You love the details, file names, specs, color profiles, bleeds, versions, all of it. When something goes to a media partner or print vendor, you want it buttoned-up, on spec, and on time.
At Zimmerman Agency, we’re looking for a Studio Designer with strong technical and production design skills to be a key part of our creative process.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and finalize production-ready files for print, OOH, digital, and social
- Handle pre-press tasks: setting up bleeds, crops, color profiles, imposition needs, and printer requirements
- Version, resize, and adapt existing designs across multiple formats and specs
- Ensure all deliverables meet technical requirements for print shops, media partners, and digital platforms
- Maintain organized file structures, naming conventions, and version control
- Collaborate closely with the design and creative teams to ensure work is accurate, consistent, and on-brand
- Perform quality control checks on files before they go out the door
- Problem-solve with vendors and internal teams when specs change or issues arise
What you bring
- Strong abilities in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat for pre-press checks)
- Solid understanding of:
- Pre-press and print production (CMYK vs RGB, resolution, bleeds, safety, etc.)
- Digital file prep for web and social (sizes, formats, compression, platform specs)
- Detail-obsessed and highly organized, you take pride in clean files and tight workflows
- Comfortable working with templates, guidelines, and brand systems
- Accountable and reliable, deadlines matter and you don’t let things slip
- Strong communicator who can work with designers, project managers, and vendors to get files right
