The Keller Group is partnering with a nationally recognized organization that is seeking a Director of Public Relations in the Greater Boston Area. This role will lead and elevate a growing PR practice focused on B2C brands. As the Director of PR, you’ll be tasked with leading as a strategic operator that has a proven history of inspiring and motivating high-performing teams. We’re looking for a passionate PR professional who knows how to build trust with clients, inspire high-performing teams, create strategic communications programs that move across markets, and is energized by an exciting opportunity to build something meaningful!


What You’ll Do:


Champion the Vision for PR



  • Serve as senior strategic leader responsible for defining the vision in direction, performance, and continued growth and development of a high-performing team.

  • Develop clear vision for department overview while creating alignment across people, processes, deliverables, and business objectives.

  • Drive operational excellence, resource planning, team utilization, and overall performance from department.

  • Be the senior strategic partner and primary point person for key stakeholders

  • Partner close with executive leaders to find opportunities for innovation, growth, and continuous improvement.


Elevate & Shape Communications Strategy



  • Guide high-level communications strategies that feature nationally recognized brands and organizations.

  • Review and elevate media relations programs, thought leadership initiatives, influencer strategies, reputation management efforts, and integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Ensure recommendations are rooted in alignment across business objectives, audience takeaways, and measurable insights.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging channels, and shifts within respective consumer focused industries.


Build, Inspire & Empower Exceptional Talent



  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of PR professionals and freelancers.

  • Maintain a culture of accountability, collaboration, creativity, and growth.

  • Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and feedback that helps team members expand their confidence and capabilities.

  • Build strong partnerships across integrated marketing disciplines.


Cultivate Lasting Client Partnerships



  • Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders. Immerse self into brand/business in order to elevate brand storytelling, awareness, and engagement with diverse audiences.

  • Participate in strategic presentations, planning sessions, and contribute to executive-level conversations.

  • Help deepen brand impact and relationships by ensuring consistent delivery, strategic value, and measurable impact.

  • Discover opportunities to enhance retention, expand partnerships beyond the norm, and strengthen long-term business outcomes.


What You’ll Bring:



  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.

  • 8+ years of progressive PR experience, including significant leadership responsibilities.

  • Past demonstrated experience leading successful PR teams, communications programs, and internal + external relationships within a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.

  • Proven ability to build and mentor teams while fostering a positive, high-performance culture.

  • A confident, magnetic, decisive leadership style paired with collaboration and adaptability.

  • Experience driving B2C brand awareness and engagement

  • Hands‑on leadership style that thrives in a "no ego" environment - willingness to roll‑up sleeves and serve in a tactical and highly strategic role.
