Position Title: Audio Visual Technician (Temporary)
Location: Fully Onsite
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Temporary Audio Visual Technician to provide onsite technical support for classroom technology, campus events, and audiovisual equipment. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the AV industry, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues with audio/video hardware and software.
Respond promptly to emergency classroom technology support requests.
Provide onsite audiovisual support for campus events and special programs.
Assist faculty, staff, students, and university guests with questions or issues related to audiovisual equipment and technology.
Install, configure, test, and operate AV equipment as needed.
Perform basic troubleshooting of Windows and Mac operating systems in support of AV technologies.
Maintain accurate inventory records for campus audiovisual equipment and related assets.
Ensure classrooms and meeting spaces are operational and equipped for daily use.
Document service requests, repairs, and equipment updates.
Follow established procedures and safety guidelines while providing technical support.
Qualifications
Required
2-3 years of experience in the audiovisual (AV) industry.
Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
Experience troubleshooting audio/video hardware and software.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively to urgent support requests.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Ability to lift and move AV equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting classroom technology in a higher education or corporate environment.
Familiarity with projectors, displays, audio systems, microphones, video conferencing equipment, and presentation technologies.
Experience with inventory tracking and asset management.
