Job Description

This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials requirements. The Drafter/Cad Operator II as a SCA Grade position. 3D Plant Designer - Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services, NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and
This operator prepares various drawings computer models of such units as construction projects or parts and assemblies, including various views, sectional profiles, irregular or reverse curves, hidden lines, and small or intricate details. Work requires use of most of the conventional drafting and CAD techniques and a working knowledge of the terms and procedures of the occupation. The Draft/CAD Operator II makes arithmetic computations using standard formulas. Familiar or recurring work as assigned in general terms. Unfamiliar assignments include information on methods, procedures, sources of information, and precedents to follow. Simple revisions to existing drawings or computer models may be assigned with a verbal explanation of the desired results. More complex revisions are produced from sketches, computer models or specifications that clearly depict the desired product. Typical assignments include:
Preparing several views of a simple gear system from a layout and manual references and obtaining dimensions and tolerances from manuals and by measuring the layout.
Preparing and revising detail and design drawings for such projects as the construction and installation of electrical or electronic equipment, plant wiring, and the manufacture and assembly of printed circuit boards. Drawings typically include details of mountings, frames, guards, or other accessories; conduit layouts; or wiring diagrams indicating transformer sizes, conduit locations and mountings.
Drawing base and elevation views, sections, and details of new bridges or other structures, revising complete sets of roadway drawings for highway construction projects, or preparing block maps, indicating water and sewage line locations.
Create models of equipment in Smart Plant 3D
Layout piping in a safe, constructible, and maintainable fashion
Create and place pipe supports as required
Create and modify piping and support drawings
Qualifications

The 3D Plant Designer - Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
Required Qualifications are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator II position. Minimum Education are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator II position. Base Experience/Skills are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator II position. Standard Work Hours are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator II position. Area Security Access/Security Clearance are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator II position. Minimum of 3 years experience in SmartPlant 3D with 2+ years Design experience specifically with piping design
Proficiency in Smart Sketch
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Must have the ability to work independently with guidance from a Lead Designer
Must have the ability to work 40 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microstation
Cryogenic design experience
Experience checking drawings for other Designers
Modeling of other equipment types, pipe supports, and structures
U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to as an "Employment Authorization") by the USG's designated Security Office.

Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance.
TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, as allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
