For our client, we are seeking a Art Director - Ink to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a hospitality and recreation environment.


Location: Los Angeles, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available


Compensation: $236,000 – $395,000 annually


Responsibilities



  • Develop style guide and communicate visual theories for characters, backgrounds, and props

  • Collaborate with creative leadership to enhance storytelling and visual standards aligned with project vision

  • Engage in creative discussions and brainstorming to foster innovative ideas

  • Supervise and participate in asset creation alongside the artistic team using traditional and GenAI tools

  • Mentor and provide guidance to creative teams for optimal work output

  • Work with production and technical teams to clarify direction, timelines, and budget

  • Create asset breakdowns for project assignments and assist in team recruitment


Qualifications



  • 3+ years in supervisory roles within animated features or series

  • Strong passion for storytelling and animation evidenced by portfolio or credits in visual development, backgrounds, or character design

  • In-depth understanding of 2D and CG animation with a grasp of CG production processes

  • Proficient in digital drawing tools, particularly Photoshop

  • Familiarity with 3D DCC software (Maya, Unreal, Blender) and knowledge of GenAI tools is advantageous

  • Ability to quickly adapt to emerging technologies and workflows in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team motivation and management

  • Excellent communication skills across various mediums
