Our client is looking for a Multimedia Support Specialist for a 7-month contract in Chicago, IL 60606.

Required Skills & Experience
- College diploma in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IT, AV support, multimedia services, or conference room technology support.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supporting AV/multimedia environments. Hands‑on experience with conferencing systems such as Cisco TelePresence, Polycom, WebEx, Teams, or similar.
- Familiarity with Apple iOS and Android devices.
- Experience with ticketing/service management systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to respond quickly to urgent and ad‑hoc requests.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional presence when supporting executives and senior leadership.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting executive boardrooms or conference centers.
- Exposure to networking concepts related to conferencing systems.
- Knowledge of hybrid meeting room technologies.
What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multimedia and AV equipment in conference centers and meeting rooms.
- Set up, operate, and test audiovisual systems, including:
- Flat panels and projectors
- Internal and external laptops
- Microphones
- VOIP / teleconference systems
- Video conferencing systems
- Mobile devices
- Support collaboration platforms and conferencing technologies, including Cisco TelePresence, Polycom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, and similar tools.
- Coordinate with external vendors, multimedia suppliers, and AV service providers.
- Serve as liaison with business partners, executives, leadership teams, and distinguished guests for technical support during meetings and events.
- Support highly confidential, time‑sensitive, and high‑profile meetings with urgency and discretion.
- Troubleshoot system issues, software updates, break/fix incidents, and connectivity problems.
- Manage video conferencing bridges and endpoint connectivity where applicable.
- Track requests and incidents through ticketing systems.
- Recommend service improvements, technology enhancements, and cost‑saving opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies that can improve workplace productivity and user experience.
