Amazon Business Manager

to join our team in our Solana Beach offices.

The

Amazon Business Manager

is responsible for leading Amazon merchandising strategy, digital shelf performance, and customer experience across the company's portfolio of brands. This role serves as the primary business owner for Amazon merchandising initiatives, partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Creative, Operations, Product Development, and external agency partners to drive revenue growth, conversion optimization, and brand excellence across the Amazon ecosystem.

role combines strategic leadership, analytical expertise, and operational oversight to enhance product visibility, improve customer engagement, and maximize commercial performance. Through data-driven decision-making and continuous optimization, the Amazon Business Manager drives digital shelf excellence, influences business strategy, and ensures a best-in-class shopping experience across all Amazon brand storefronts and product categories.

Define and lead Amazon merchandising strategies that drive revenue growth, conversion optimization, customer acquisition, and overall business performance across a portfolio of brands.

Establish merchandising priorities and optimization roadmaps based on business performance, competitive trends, customer behavior, and marketplace opportunities.

Influence cross-functional decision-making related to product launches, promotional investments, merchandising initiatives, and growth opportunities within the Amazon channel.

Amazon Merchandising & Digital Shelf Leadership

Lead digital shelf strategy across Amazon, ensuring product presentation, discoverability, content quality, and customer experience support business objectives.

Oversee optimization of product detail pages, brand stores, and enhanced content experiences to maximize visibility, engagement, and conversion.

Establish merchandising standards and governance processes that ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with brand guidelines across all Amazon properties.

Evaluate digital shelf performance and direct optimization initiatives that improve product visibility, assortment presentation, and customer engagement.

Drive continuous improvement of the Amazon customer journey through merchandising best practices and data-driven insights.

Lead content strategy initiatives that strengthen product storytelling, improve search visibility, and enhance customer engagement across Amazon.

Partner with Marketing, Creative, and agency teams to establish content priorities and optimization plans for imagery, video, A+ Content, and Brand Store experiences.

Ensure content strategies align with brand positioning, marketplace requirements, and evolving consumer expectations.

Analytics & Business Performance

Own analysis of key performance indicators including traffic, conversion, content effectiveness, sales trends, search performance, inventory positioning, and customer engagement metrics.

Leverage Amazon Analytics, Google Analytics, Looker, and related business intelligence tools to identify risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.

Translate performance insights into actionable business recommendations that improve revenue, profitability, and customer experience outcomes.

Present business performance, strategic recommendations, and optimisation plans to key stakeholders and leadership teams.

Product Launch & Lifecycle Management

Lead Amazon launch strategy and merchandising readiness for new product introductions across multiple brands.

Establish launch priorities and coordinate cross-functional efforts to support successful product activation and market readiness.

Serve as the escalation point for launch-related challenges, ensuring risks are identified and addressed to maintain timelines and commercial objectives.

Evaluate launch performance and implement optimization strategies that support sustained growth and business success throughout the product lifecycle.

Lead promotional merchandising strategies that maximize visibility, conversion, and revenue performance during key selling periods.

Partner with Sales, Marketing, and agency teams to align advertising investments, promotional plans, and merchandising initiatives with business goals.

Identify opportunities for assortment optimisation, cross-selling, upselling, and customer journey enhancements that drive incremental growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Build and maintain effective partnerships with internal teams, agency partners, and external stakeholders to support execution and business performance.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, execution quality, and digital shelf effectiveness.

Manage the agency relationship by holding them accountable to metrics and agreed upon business priorities.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, E-Commerce, or a related field preferred.

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Amazon merchandising, eCommerce, digital merchandising, or online retail.

Extensive experience with Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central.

Demonstrated success developing and executing merchandising strategies that drive revenue growth and business performance.

Experience managing multiple brands, product categories, or consumer product portfolios.

Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leading initiatives across complex business environments.

Experience managing agency relationships and external partners preferred.

Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and make business decisions involving competing priorities, commercial objectives, investment opportunities, and marketplace requirements.

Strong understanding of Amazon merchandising strategy, digital shelf optimisation, content development, and customer experience management.

Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into strategic business recommendations.

Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.

Strong organisational and project leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations to leadership.

Proactive, results-oriented, and adaptable, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and business growth.

Technology

Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central.

Amazon Retail Analytics.

Google Analytics.

Looker or similar business intelligence platforms.

Microsoft Office 365, including advanced Excel.

Media Valet or similar Digital Asset Management systems.

Wrike, Asana, or comparable project management platforms.

Other

Ability to work extended hours as business needs warrant, may on occasion, include nights and weekends.

Domestic Travel; as business needs warrant.

The range for this role is between $85,000 to $107,500. Target compensation range and subsequent actual salary is/will be determined by a number of factors including but not limited to specific skills, competencies, years of experience, geographic location and education as aligned to the job description. Full time employees are eligible for company benefits to include medical, prescription, dental, mental health benefits, 401(k) and paid time off (vacation, sick days and paid holidays).
