Responsibilities

Photograph fundraising, volunteer, scholarship, community, and program events
Capture candid moments, portraits, environmental images, and branded content
Coordinate shot lists, schedules, permissions, and event logistics
Select, edit, organize, caption, and deliver high-resolution and web-ready files
Follow brand, accessibility, privacy, safeguarding, and approved photo-release requirements
Maintain respectful representation of youth, families, volunteers, and community partners
Provide usable image metadata and organized archives
Collaborate with marketing, video, social media, and program teams
Qualifications

Strong photography portfolio and experience with events, portraits, or documentary storytelling
Proficiency with professional camera equipment and editing software
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate reliably
Access to appropriate photography equipment and transportation to agreed Seattle‑area assignments
Experience with nonprofit, community, or youth-centered storytelling is helpful
This is a flexible, recurring hybrid volunteer opportunity. Planning and editing can be completed remotely; photography assignments occur primarily in the Seattle area and are scheduled in advance. Time commitment varies by project, generally up to 10 hours per month.
