Position Summary

The Apparel Textile & Print Associate Designer will assist the Senior Print Manager in execution of Apparel print pattern artwork from design to production phase. Candidate must have an interest in Textile Design and strong concept and perception of color.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in designing original Apparel prints, patterns, and graphics for seasonal collections across multiple product categories (e.g., tops, dresses, soft separates) using Adobe Suite.
Support the development of artwork from concept through production, including colorways, repeats, and scale adjustments.
Create technical files for production, ensuring artwork is accurate and meets mill/vendor requirements.
Manage print production strike-offs by organizing current seasonal CAD print boards and binders of past seasons.
Evaluate execution and color with help of manager and team members. Clearly communicate color comments to overseas vendors on all strike-offs.
Prep, organize and run weekly strike-off meetings with design and merchandising.
Data Entry into PLM system to track comments/production and input artwork.
Maintain vendor relationships, email communication and project documentation.
Prepare print presentation materials and boards.
Organize and track Epson printer supplies. Communicate when inks or paper need to be re-ordered to manager.
Represent the print department in milestone meetings by taking notes, pulling pantones, artworks, creating colorways, and staying actively engaged throughout discussions.
Maintain and manage print library, both digital and physical.
Assist with and send artwork files both new and revised to overseas vendors.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in Apparel textile and print design within fashion or a related industry (internships included).
Strong portfolio demonstrating print, pattern, and/or graphic design work.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop required). Must have strong photoshop and color skills.
Understanding of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PLM system.
Understanding and willingness to use AI as a print-creating/illustrating tool. Experience using AI a plus.
Detail-oriented with outstanding, strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of fabric printing techniques and production processes is a plus.
Experience working with apparel product development cycles.
Familiarity with retail or DTC women’s fashion brands.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Complete the Farnsworth-Munsell color test.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
