Brand & Motion Designer

Make Cool Sh*t is hiring a Brand & Motion Designer to embed in our studio in Cedar Grove, NJ.
We are a design and strategy studio building brands that kick doors down for founders, creators, and entrepreneurs who want a point of view. Our clients span sports media, hospitality, apparel, CPG, and beyond. We are scaling, and we need someone who can hit the ground running across both brand design and motion.
What you'll do:
Own day to day graphic asset production across active client work
Build brand systems from scratch, then extend them across social, web, print, and video
Create motion graphics (logo animations, lower thirds, end cards, video overlays) that bring brands to life
Collaborate directly with the Creative Director on strategy, direction, and execution
Move fast without sacrificing craft
What you bring:
4 plus years of professional graphic design experience with a motion graphics component
Portfolio of real, produced work (both static brand and motion samples)
Strong understanding of typography, color, layout, and brand systems
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Fluency in After Effects and Premiere for motion work
Ability to switch between projects and manage multiple priorities
Communication skills that work well with a team, clients, and freelance partners
Big plus (not required, but it will separate you from the pack):
Sports knowledge, whether you play, follow, or design for it
On location at our Cedar Grove, NJ office. No remote, no hybrid, no exceptions.
Full time, embedded in the studio
Comfortable working directly with clients, freelance partners, and internal team
Compensation:
Competitive, based on experience.
