Mission and objectives:
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is the lead UnitedNations agency for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights with apriority focus on women and young people.The overall vision of thenew 8th Country Programme (2022-2026) is to improve the health andwell-being of women, young people; vulnerable and marginalizedgroups in Zimbabwe by ensuring universal access to qualityintegrated SRHR information and services in an enablingenvironment. This will contribute to the attainment of the threetransformative results in UNFPA''s Global Strategic Plan: Zero unmetneed for family planning, Zero preventable maternal deaths, Zerogender-based violence, and the East and Southern Africa regionalpriority of ending sexual transmission of HIV.
Context:
The UNV will support implementation of UNFPA Zimbabwe''s countryprogramme particularly under Outcome 1-Output 2 which focuses on"Adolescents and young people, including vulnerable groups, areequipped with knowledge and skills to participate indecision-making and make informed decisions on SRHR." In thiscontext, the UNV will support the implementation of innovative andsustainable interventions that will contribute to adolescents andyoung people having increased knowledge, skills and agency to makeinformed decisions and positive actions about their body, theirlife and their world in Zimbabwe, He/she will participate in andcontribute towards the integration of programme interventions bothat national and community levels.
Task description:
Under the direct supervision of Innovation, Communication &Visibility Specialist, the UN Volunteer will undertake thefollowing tasks:
Will support the drafting of a Communicationsand Visibility Plan for the UNFPA Country Office, including a planfor monitoring and evaluation and ensure its implementation;
Contribute to the formulation of UNFPA andrelated projects communications and public relations plans asrequired;
Draft tweets, blog posts, stories, projectupdates, reports and communications materials such as factsheetsand flyers for UNFPA Country Office, and Projects
Ensure support for graphic design of documentsand knowledge products;
Take photographs and shoot and edit videos ofactivities and events;
Support communication and visibility activitieswith UNFPA Management, Project Staff and necessary stakeholderswithin the UN system, project partners and the UNDP country officecommunications team;
Provide support for the dissemination ofcommunications and visibility materials;
Contribute to maintain and update UNFPA CountryOffice and Project - files and archives for communicationmaterials.
Contribute ideas of UNFPA Country Office andProjects communication and visibility activities and events
Support the planning and implementation ofevents and meetings.
Provide logistical and programme support foractivities and events. This may include but is not limited toorganizing locations, placing information kits in folders, invitingmedia and guests, maintaining attendance lists, taking photographs,videos and documentation.
Any other related tasks and activities as may berequired or assigned by the supervisor

Demonstrated experience in photography and videographyincluding knowledge on use of relevant software for some basicdesign and editing

While a university degree is not required for this assignment,candidates with a bachelor''s degree or equivalent qualification ina relevant field are encouraged to apply.
