Senior Politics Editor: Live News & Breaking Coverage

The New York Times is seeking a Senior Staff Editor to anchor our evening operation, editing news, features and live stories across platforms. You will launch reporters on breaking stories, start live blogs, and perform first/second reads with NYT style.
This is an in-office, hybrid role in New York, with collaboration across desks and departments. You will supervise reporters, drive coverage of breaking news, and develop story ideas with strong news judgment.
