Operations Technician III

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Operations Technician III to support a large telecommunications organization responsible for delivering, activating, and migrating IP-based network services for enterprise and carrier customers. This individual will be responsible for executing network implementations, performing logical service builds, supporting service migrations, and ensuring successful customer turn-ups through adherence to approved implementation procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a production network environment, executing IP service configurations, performing circuit grooming activities, and coordinating directly with customers during maintenance windows and migrations. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, service delivery, and customer teams.

This position will pay $38-45/hr.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of experience in network implementation, provisioning, activation, migration, or network operations environments.

Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals and how network configurations are deployed within production environments.

Experience executing structured implementation processes and change-management procedures.

Knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts.

Experience supporting customer-facing implementation or migration activities.

Ability to troubleshoot service activation, provisioning, and implementation issues in real-time.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to work effectively during scheduled maintenance windows and implementation events. 5+ years of experience within telecommunications, carrier, managed services, or enterprise networking environments.

Experience performing circuit grooming, service migrations, and network optimization initiatives.

Familiarity with carrier and enterprise connectivity services including:

Ethernet Services

MPLS Networks

VPN Services

Dedicated Internet Access (DIA)

WAN Connectivity Solutions

Experience working with routing protocols and network troubleshooting tools.

Experience collaborating with engineering, service delivery, project management, and operational teams.

Understanding of network provisioning systems, inventory platforms, and activation workflows.

Industry certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent networking certifications preferred.
