Overview:
The staging position is responsible for pairing the fabric and poly with the furniture frame and getting it ready for the upholstery department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Pair fabric bundle and poly to frame
Prepare the floor for what orders are needed for the day
Read tickets to see what is needed for each furniture piece
Communicate within multiple departments for an efficient flow throughout the plant
Ability to identify shortages to meet goals and report those issues
Cross train in multiple departments
Qualifications:
Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business
Must have some computer skills and ability to use a scanner
Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently or as a team member
Ability to read work instructions
Physical Requirements:
Standing, walking, bending for an 8-hour shift
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects
Move products from upholstery locations to finished products
