Job Summary:
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and ensure the quality of our software applications. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, experience in test automation, and a solid understanding of software development and QA methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications.
Build and enhance automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
Perform root cause analysis for production issues.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
Strong programming skills in
Java, Python, or C# .
Experience with
Selenium WebDriver , Playwright, or Cypress.
Experience in API automation using
Rest Assured , Postman, or similar tools.
Knowledge of testing frameworks such as
TestNG , JUnit, or NUnit.
Experience with version control tools like Git.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
Familiarity with security testing concepts.
