Bush and Mrs. Barbara Bush. The Foundation also develops and hosts public programs and events that convene leaders and engage audiences around service, education, and civic engagement.
A Glimpse of the Job The Program Director, under general direction, directs the administration of assigned programs, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
Essential Duties Program Management and Leadership Develops Board program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures Manages all board operations, including meeting planning, agendas, board books, and Board member onboarding Ensures Board program objectives are met Manages Board recruitment opportunities Board Relations Engagement Tracks board member engagement, participation and giving Develops strategies to increase board effectiveness and engagement Creates and manages Board stewardship opportunities Develops and executes, alongside CEO and Development lead, engagement strategy aligned with institutional priorities Builds relationships with Board members and Bush Administration alumni to expand engagement opportunities. Budget and Resource Management Develops and manages program budgets alongside CFO Collaborates with Development leadership to align board and alumni engagement with development and resourcing initiatives Evaluates Board programs and recommends budget improvements based on participation and outcomes Program Monitoring and Reporting Maintains program activity records and provides monthly progress reports
What You Need to Know Salary : Commensurate with experience
Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience Ten years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications Five to seven years of proven experience building and managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, subject matter experts, and senior leaders, preferably within a board or governance environment Proficiency with CRM systems, including Raiser’s Edge NXT
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong public speaking, organizational, leadership, and supervisory skills Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment
