Our client, a multi-brand fashion apparel group is seeking a Head of Finance to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities
- Create and lead the overall financial strategy for the brand
- Partner with leadership on growth plans, expansion, and big-picture decisions
- Build financial models for new products, new markets, and new opportunities
- Support any potential acquisitions or major business moves
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Manage cash flow and working capital
- Monitor inventory value and profit margins across wholesale and direct channels
- Put strong financial controls and processes in place
- Work with banks and outside financial partners
- Analyze product profitability and pricing
- Oversee production costing and margin performance
- Monitor inventory levels and seasonal cash flow
- Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and ERP processes
- Ensure the brand follows all financial regulations
- Oversee tax filings and strategy
- Manage audits and outside financial reviews
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team
- Partner closely with sales, production, and operations teams
Qualifications
- 10+ years of senior finance experience
- Prior experience as a CFO or senior finance leader
- Background in fashion or a similar product-based industry
- Strong understanding of wholesale and direct-to-consumer business models
- Experience managing multiple entities or brands
- Deep knowledge of inventory, production cycles, and margin management
- Experience scaling finance operations in a growing company
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
Salary: $140k-$165k depending on experience
