Florida Elite Baseball is seeking a motivated, organized, and passionate baseball professional to serve as a Contract-Based Director of Baseball Operations . The Director of Baseball Operations will assist with the daily execution of baseball programming, team logistics, player development initiatives, recruiting operations, events, and organizational growth. This role is ideal for a former player, young coach, sports management professional, or aspiring baseball executive looking to build a career in baseball operations. Baseball operations roles typically combine administrative coordination, logistics, player support, and collaboration with coaches and leadership.

Assist in managing day-to-day operations for FL Elite teams (11U-18U and collegiate programs)
Coordinate communication between coaches, players, and families
Maintain team schedules, rosters, calendars, and operational documents
Assist coaches with practice planning, tournament preparation, and team needs
Support implementation of FL Elite standards, culture, and expectations
Help create systems to improve player and family experience

Coordinate tournament logistics including:
Team schedules
Field assignments
Hotels and travel details
Team communication
Equipment needs
Assist with planning out-of-state events and national tournament travel
Serve as an operations contact during tournaments and events

Serve as an on-field coach within the FL Elite Baseball program as assigned
Assist with practices, training sessions, player development workouts, and team preparation
Help implement FL Elite’s coaching philosophy, culture, and player development standards
Provide instruction in baseball fundamentals including hitting, defense, pitching, baserunning, and overall baseball IQ
Assist head coaches with practice organization, drills, and player evaluations
Support player growth through consistent feedback, mentorship, and accountability
Build positive relationships with athletes and families while representing the FL Elite brand professionally
Assist with game-day coaching responsibilities including pregame preparation, in-game support, and postgame evaluations
Help develop younger athletes while promoting leadership, teamwork, discipline, and character development

Coaching Requirement
The Director of Baseball Operations will be required to actively participate as a coach within the FL Elite Baseball organization. Candidates must be willing to dedicate time both behind the scenes in baseball operations and on the field developing athletes. This position is designed for an individual who wants to grow as both a baseball coach and a baseball operations professional.

Assist with tryout operations and player evaluations
Help identify potential players for FL Elite programs
Support roster building for future seasons
Assist with building relationships with coaches, families, and baseball organizations

Assist with planning:
Camps
Clinics
Fundraising events
Community events
Player showcases
Support FL Elite Baseball Foundation initiatives
Assist leadership with sponsorship activation and organizational growth projects

Work alongside FL Elite media team to support:
Social media content ideas
Player announcements
Team promotions
Event coverage
Help strengthen FL Elite’s brand presence throughout South Florida

Qualifications Required
Strong passion for baseball and player development
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work nights/weekends during baseball season
Reliable transportation
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
Professional attitude and strong work ethic

Preferred
Previous baseball playing or coaching experience
Experience with travel baseball, recruiting, or player development
Degree or coursework in:
Sports Management
Business Administration
Marketing
Communications
Experience using Google Workspace, Excel, TeamSnap, SportsRecruits, or similar platforms

Contract-Based Compensation Structure:

Monthly stipend based on responsibilities and availability
Performance-based bonuses available
Opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation as the program expands

Estimated Commitment:

10-20 hours per week during offseason
Increased hours during tournament seasons, camps, tryouts, and events
