ADWEEK is looking for an Audience Engagement & Community Facilitator to support our growing community team. This is a contract role for someone who understands that great events and communities don't happen by accident, but are built through intentional audience curation and a genuine passion for connecting the right people at the right moments.
You'll split your time between two of ADWEEK's most high-touch community initiatives:
ADWEEK's custom event activations
Vanguard, our invitation-only executive membership programs: Agencies, Marketing, and Communications Vanguard
Contract role, 20-30 hours/week through December 2026 with opportunity to extend.
What You'll Do
Custom Event Activations
Drive audience development and invitation strategy for ADWEEK custom event activations on behalf of ADWEEK partners, ensuring the right people are in the room for each activation.
Manage the ADWEEK Connect program; identifying, recruiting, and onboarding qualified brand- and agency-side decision-makers to participate in partner meeting programs at events including Brandweek and other ADWEEK tentpoles.
Work closely with the partnerships and events teams to align audience strategy with client goals and event objectives.
Track and report on audience metrics, conversion rates, and program performance across activations.
Vanguard
Manage invitations and audience development for Vanguard events including Inspiration Excursions, Summits, and other gatherings.
Serve as primary point of contact for in-person events, ensuring a responsive, consistent, high-touch experience across all touchpoints.
Maintain and organize prospecting data, invitation lists, and CRM records with accuracy and care.
Support membership recruitment efforts: identify prospective members, manage outreach sequences, and track pipeline from first contact through application and onboarding.
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in audience development, event marketing, community management, membership programs, or a related field.
A genuine interest in the marketing and advertising industry - you don't need to have worked at an agency or brand, but you should be curious about the world our members live in.
Strong written communication skills and an instinct for tone - you know the difference between an email that feels personal and one that feels like a mail merge.
Exceptional organizational skills and comfort managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience with CRM tools and comfort working with data to inform outreach strategy.
A collaborative, low-ego approach - this role works closely with programming, partnerships, editorial, and events teams, and requires someone who can flex across all of them.
