Job Description
FOX Tech Design (FTD) is responsible for setting design and brand direction across FOX’s digital ecosystem, spanning sports, news, and entertainment experiences on platforms including web, mobile, and connected TV.
We are seeking a Junior to Mid Level Production Designer to join our Core Services team. This role is ideal for an early-career designer who is intuitive, proactive, and eager to grow, with a strong interest in production craft, scalable systems, and emerging technologies.
Working under the guidance of the VP of Design and Senior Production Designers, this role supports day-to-day asset production while helping bridge the gap between product design and production. You’ll translate design intent into high-quality, production-ready assets and contribute ideas to improve workflows, efficiency, and consistency—especially through AI exploration and smarter production processes.
Responsibilities
Create, resize, and produce digital assets for FOX Entertainment and FOX Sports across web, mobile, and connected TV platforms
Build responsive breakpoints and asset variations from provided key art and product design files
Use Photoshop to extend artwork, retouch imagery, manipulate layouts, and color-correct assets
Assemble composite artwork using photography, vector assets, and supplied source materials while maintaining brand consistency
Translate product and UX design files into production-ready assets, ensuring design intent is preserved
Collaborate closely with product designers, UX partners, content teams, and project managers
Explore and experiment with AI-assisted tools and automation to improve production workflows
Contribute to the development and maintenance of production templates, toolkits, and systems
Proactively identify issues, suggest improvements, and help solve production challenges
Maintain organized files, naming conventions, and version control in a high-volume environment
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
1–3 years of digital production design or related experience (internships and agency experience count)
A strong portfolio demonstrating digital production fundamentals and Photoshop expertise
Solid proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including compositing, image manipulation, and smart objects
Experience adapting designs across multiple screen sizes, formats, or breakpoints
Familiarity with digital brand guidelines and asset consistency
Working knowledge of design tools such as Illustrator and basic familiarity with Figma (or a willingness to learn quickly)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Clear communication skills and comfort collaborating via Slack, email, and meetings
A proactive, self-starting mindset with curiosity about improving how work gets done
Ideal Traits
Intuitive: Picks up tools, workflows, and feedback quickly
Proactive: Looks for opportunities to help, improve, and take on more responsibility
Curious: Interested in AI, automation, and emerging creative technologies
Detail-driven: Cares deeply about quality, consistency, and accuracy
Collaborative: Enjoys working between product design and production teams
Nice-to-Haves
Interest in or experience working with sports content or live events
Hands-on curiosity or experimentation with AI-assisted design or production tools
Experience supporting or working alongside product or UX design teams
Exposure to fast-paced media, sports, or entertainment environments
Basic understanding of design systems or scalable asset frameworks
Extra Points
Experience contributing to production toolkits or templates
Familiarity with automation, scripting, or batch-processing workflows
Agency or high-volume production environment experience
Print production exposure
