Extrusion Technician

Molecular Products, Inc. is looking for an Extrusion Technician based near the Louisville, CO area. Soda line is a critical product for Molecular Products. We are helping to save the planet with this production line.

Extrusion Technicians will be responsible for the production of soda lime products on the extrusion process according to company procedures, and formulation sheets.
Extrusion Technicians will be responsible for general upkeep, including low level preventative maintenance and cleanliness of all extrusion production equipment and processing areas.
Extrusion Technicians will be responsible for organization of the extrusion area keeping isles clear and maintaining accurate identification of materials in the extrusion area.
The role for Shift 2 will be 2:00PM - 12:30 AM and wage will be $22.75 hourly.
Responsibilities

Tech extrusion technicians will be responsible for the manufacture of soda line products to support the soda line packaging operations, adhering to the production schedule as established by the Production Supervisor.
Daily responsibilities include:
Starting up extruder, dryer, backend processing equipment.
Unloading finished bags from the bulk bag loader on the extrusion line.
Monitoring process performance and responding to any alarm or abnormal conditions.
Disposing and replacing filled waste containers generated by the process.
Producing new chemical batches according to standard formulations.
Replacing chemical totes or drums as required.
Shutting down extruder, recording all bag output and waste on production logs.
Calculating daily process screening yields and overall yields according to the production log.
Daily clean up and organization of the extrusion production area.
Cross training in the soda line packaging areas and supporting the packaging lines as required.
Extrusion technicians will adhere to all MPI protocols to ensure compliance with QMS, ITAR and EH&S requirements.
Extrusion technicians will strive to achieve daily production goals as established by the Production Supervisor in support of the customer demand.
Qualifications

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
1-3 years in an industrial/chemical manufacturing environment
Knowledge of general chemical safe handling practices
Detail-oriented, able to preserve, record, and report required data
Familiarity with automated production / process equipment (chemical pumps, valves, tanks agitators, conveyor motors, etc...)
Must have good verbal communication skills
Desired:

Familiarity of 5S practices
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in driving powered forklifts
Experience in using an HMI to control a semi-automated continuous manufacturing process
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
Must have good dexterity with hands
