DRESS DESIGNER - Sam Edelman, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger Brands

S. Rothschild & Co. is looking for creative and skilled Dress Designer to join our growing team working with the Sam Edelman, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands. As a Dress Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing dresses for various occasions, ensuring each design aligns with the latest trends and customer preferences. You will work closely with other designers, sales and production teams to bring your designs to life.
Responsibilities

Must have 5+ years of experience in designing Dresses.
Design Development: Create original and innovative dress designs for different brands.
Trend Research: Stay up-to-date with fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and styling to ensure designs are modern and marketable.
Sketching & Illustration: Create detailed sketches and technical drawings of designs using hand drawings or design software.
Fabric & Material Selection: Choose appropriate fabrics, materials, and embellishments that complement the design while ensuring comfort, quality, and cost-efficiency.
Pattern Making & Fitting: Collaborate with pattern makers to ensure accurate measurements and fit. Participate in fittings to make necessary design adjustments.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Work with other designers, pattern makers, sales and production teams to refine designs and troubleshoot production issues.
Sampling: Oversee the creation of sample dresses, making necessary adjustments and improvements based on trial fittings.
Production Support: Ensure that the final design is practical for mass production and meets quality standards.
Requirements

5 + years’ dress design experience
Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a deadline orientated work environment
Knowledge of Microsoft applications, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
Salary $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
