White Hall United Methodist Church is seeking a person with a strong commitment to Jesus Christ who will serve as a piano player to accompany worship settings and have a role in the musical life of the church.
Job Description

The Pianist should be a strong team player working under the leadership of the Pastor, the Worship Committee and the SPRC and will be a member of the staff.
The Pianist will accompany hymns in worship, possibly accompany special music, play special piano pieces as needed, and work with the Pastor and/or Worship Committee to help plan worship services and select music.
The Pianist is expected to be in attendance for Sunday worship services, and other services such as, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve. Days off can be negotiated in consultation with the Pastor and the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC), keeping in mind, the liturgical calendar and special services. The position is part-time and hours will vary, depending on the events of church activities.

Have strong communication skills and the ability to take direction, work as a team member and be able to communicate well and in a friendly manner with the church leadership, church choir and members of the congregation.
Organized, creative and possess a working knowledge of church music and support the church’s worship environment through the well-prepared execution of music.
Safe Gatherings Certification will be required. This includes a background check and training on working with children, youth and vulnerable adults.
Description of Duties

Assist the Pastor and the Worship Committee in carrying out the vision of our Music Ministry.
Responsible for accompanying congregational singing and provide prelude, interlude, offertory and postlude music, according to the needs of the worship service.
