In this pivotal position, you will become a key member of the HQ Category Management team, where your primary responsibility will be to craft and implement pricing and promotional strategies specifically tailored for our Micro Fulfillment Centers (MFCs). This role is essential in ensuring that we strike a balance between profitability and market competitiveness, especially as we shift from traditional static margin approaches to more dynamic pricing frameworks.

What you'll do

Take ownership of the pricing and promotions strategy for MFCs, collaborating closely with teams in Data Analytics, Growth, and local departments to ensure alignment and effectiveness.

Lead both strategic and operational pricing projects, which includes detailed project planning and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance pricing effectiveness.

Design and analyze experiments, such as A/B testing, to continuously improve and refine pricing strategies based on empirical evidence.

Tackle complex business challenges by employing various analytical techniques to derive actionable insights.

Supervise the transition to and integration of Delivery Hero's business solutions, ensuring a smooth adoption process across teams.

Liaise with stakeholders from Glovo and Delivery Hero, including departments such as Finance, Marketing, and Category Management, to foster collaboration and alignment on pricing initiatives.

Oversee the management of web-scraping integrations and the development of internal tools that will support local teams in their pricing efforts.

Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.

Provide training and support to local teams on pricing strategies and tools, ensuring they are equipped to implement the frameworks effectively.

Regularly report on pricing performance metrics and suggest improvements based on data analysis and market feedback.

Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the MFC pricing initiatives by participating in cross-functional meetings and presenting findings to senior management.

Requirements

A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in pricing, analytics, or a related field is required.

A university degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a similar discipline is essential.

Advanced skills in Google Suite are necessary for effective communication and data management.

Professional proficiency in English is required, with strong written and verbal communication capabilities to articulate complex ideas clearly.

Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of using data to inform decision-making processes.

Nice to have

Previous experience in consulting, particularly with a focus on pricing strategy, is advantageous.

Familiarity with SQL is preferred, as it will enhance your ability to manipulate and analyze data effectively.

Experience in e-commerce or the Q-commerce sector would be beneficial for understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in this space.

Skills & tools

Proficient in Google Suite for documentation, presentations, and data analysis.
