Human Interface, Product Creative is responsible for the brand expression and visual experience across Meta's wearables portfolio — from Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses to Meta Display glasses and our future product roadmap. We are a multidisciplinary team of visual designers, content designers, motion designers, and technical artists building high-quality digital retail and product experiences. We also partner across the organization on high priority creative visioning and brand direction. We are looking for a visionary Creative Director to lead brand expression and visual design across various user touchpoints and surfaces. This is a senior individual contributor role that sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, visual expression, and cutting‑edge AI innovation, with a focus on go-to-market efforts for our expanding wearables portfolio. As Creative Director, you will partner with visual designers, content designers, technical artists, motion designers, creative technologists, and engineers to ship high-quality digital retail experiences. You will ensure that every experience of Meta Wearables is cohesive and compelling — helping build Meta's reputation as a design company, not purely a tech company. You hold a high standard for craft and execution, thrive at the intersection of fashion, technology, and culture, and have experience integrating generative AI tools into creative workflows to drive innovation and efficiency at scale.
Creative Director, Human Interface Responsibilities:
Drive the overarching creative direction for Meta Wearables across meta.com, including campaign retail experiences, new user experiences, and brand system direction
Partner with product management, design, and marketing teams to define GTM creative strategy — ensuring clarity of message, strong storytelling, and consistent brand expression across the site and supporting channels
Set creative direction for multiple design surfaces, campaign asset production, and brand system evolution
Define and evolve a cohesive, creative vision that balances premium brand expression with usability, accessibility, and commerce performance
Create compelling design proposals and narratives that demonstrate the impact of creative direction and strategy applied to user-facing surfaces and experiences
Collaborate cross-functionally, balance the needs of stakeholders, and break down complex requirements into simple, compelling solutions
Articulate concepts and creative vision clearly with cross-functional teams and vendors (internally and externally), driving towards shared milestones and outcomes
Lead creative direction of photo, video, and 3D render production supporting GTM and evergreen product needs — independently and in partnership with internal studios and external vendors — including on-set direction, brief writing, setting standards, reviewing work, and ensuring quality and consistency across markets and channels
Establish scalable systems for product storytelling (imagery and motion) that build trust, improve comprehension, and support confident purchase decisions
Mentor and elevate the craft of designers on the team

Partner with research and analytics to measure creative effectiveness, using insights to refine direction and demonstrate business impact
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in creative direction, art direction, brand design, and visual design with experience on a global scale brands
5+ years of leading cross‑functional GTM or product creative workstreams, partnering with product, design, engineering, user research, brand, marketing, merchandising, and content/production teams
Portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft, range across mediums, and a clear creative point of view
Demonstrated experience leading creative direction across multidisciplinary teams and identifying visual design opportunities that elevate product experiences and brand expression
Demonstrated experience in owning creative direction for production workflows (photo/video/3D renders), including working with agencies, freelancers, and external partners to deliver high‑quality outputs at scale
Experience working across various styles and mediums — photography/art direction, motion/animation, and interaction design — weaving them together into holistic solutions
Strong knowledge of design principles related to design systems and brand, and how they inform UX, UI, communication hierarchy, information architecture, and user flows
Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creative leadership, maintaining attention to detail, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
Effective communication and presentation skills, with experience articulating complex or abstract concepts clearly and persuasively — able to explain the reasoning behind decisions, open to being wrong, and able to represent a point of view with conviction
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Experience in fast‑paced environments requiring the management of many dependencies, independent time management, task prioritization, and flexibility
Experience mentoring and elevating the craft of other designers, with a track record of raising the quality bar for teams
Experience using AI tooling to support concept generation, ideation, and scaled image generation asset pipelines
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Background in consumer hardware, fashion, or luxury brand creative
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience bringing clarity to complex, ambiguous projects and processes — proactively working towards solutions
