We're partnering with a highly respected global specialty insurance organization to identify a Vice President, Claims Coverage to join its elite in-house litigation team. This is a rare opportunity to work on sophisticated coverage and litigation matters while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership across a diverse commercial insurance portfolio.
The Opportunity

This is not a traditional claims handling position.
Instead, you'll join a highly visible team that represents the company in litigation and coverage matters. Acting as an in-house litigation partner, you'll collaborate closely with outside counsel, oversee complex legal strategy, review pleadings and motions, prepare witnesses, attend depositions, medications, and trials, and provide strategic guidance to internal business partners across multiple lines of business.
You’ll be recognized as a technical expert whose work directly influences key business decisions and carries significant visibility with senior leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing

Lead complex litigation and coverage matters involving the organization.
Partner with outside counsel to develop litigation strategy and oversee case progression.
Review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal filings.
Prepare company witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
Attend mediations, depositions, and trials as the company's representative.
Advise senior leaders and internal stakeholders on litigation and coverage-related issues.
Collaborate across Claims, Underwriting, Legal, and Business Development.
What We’re Looking For

Juris Doctor (JD).
Strong litigation background.
Coverage expertise within the insurance industry
