Job Summary:
The Manager, Corporate Communications, serves as the day-to-day strategic lead for corporate, internal and change communications programs across a portfolio of clients. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications, this role partners closely with client teams to develop and execute communications strategies that help organizations navigate growth, transformation, leadership visibility and employee engagement.
This individual is equal parts strategist, writer and project leader—someone who can translate complex business priorities into clear, compelling communications while managing multiple workstreams simultaneously. Success in this role requires exceptional writing, sound business judgment and the ability to collaborate across earned media, digital, creative and account teams to deliver integrated communications programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serve as day-to-day communications lead for assigned client accounts.
Build trusted relationships with client contacts and proactively identify communications opportunities.
Manage project timelines, scopes and budgets alongside Account Directors.
Support organic growth by identifying additional communications needs within existing accounts.
Develop corporate messaging frameworks, value propositions and organizational narratives.
Draft executive messaging, company announcements, positioning documents and stakeholder communications.
Ensure consistency across internal and external communications channels.
Support reputation-building initiatives alongside earned and digital teams.
Develop employee communications strategies supporting engagement and organizational alignment.
Recommend communications cadence and channels based on audience needs.
Measure engagement and recommend improvements.
Support organizational transformation initiatives through thoughtful communications planning.
Partner with clients to anticipate employee concerns and recommend proactive communications.
Draft speeches, presentations, LinkedIn content, talking points and executive messaging.
Support executive visibility initiatives in partnership with media relations teams.
Translate business strategies into compelling leadership narratives.
Help executives communicate authentically during periods of change.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Excellent at business writing and proofreading according to AP Style.
Proven success creating and implementing marketing communications strategies and campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet brand objectives.
Excellent project management skills, strong follow-through, deadline-oriented, and extremely organized.
Proven track record of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.
Strong presentation skills, natural-leader, professionalism and strategic thinker.
Must be able to work outside normal business hours as needed to meet client deadlines, or to attend meetings/events.
Education and Experience:
5–10 years in corporate communications, internal communications, change communications or public relations.
Experience supporting organizational change initiatives preferred.
Exceptional writing and editing skills.
Experience developing executive communications.
Strong project management skills.
Comfortable advising senior client stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
