Role Description
The Senior Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lees Summit, MO, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial and consumer banking relationships. This position involves daily interaction with clients to understand their financial needs, recommend appropriate banking products and services, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. The Senior Relationship Manager will prospect and develop new business opportunities, prepare and present proposals, and collaborate with internal teams such as credit, underwriting, and operations to support complex transactions. The role includes monitoring account performance, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements, while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a visible representative of Simmons Bank in the local community.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and grow client relationships, with strong consultative and interpersonal skills.

Experience in commercial or retail banking, including familiarity with credit products, deposits, treasury services, and lending processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess client needs, review financial information, and manage portfolio risk.

Effective communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to present solutions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency with banking systems, CRM tools, and standard office software; comfort working with data and reports.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Proven track record in business development or sales within financial services, with clear performance results.

High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and customer confidentiality.

Ability to work on-site in Lees Summit, MO, with occasional local travel for client meetings and community involvement.
