Fleet Farm is seeking a creative, strategic, and data-driven

Social Media Manager

to shape the voice of one of the Midwest's most recognized retail brands.

As our Social Media Manager, you'll own Fleet Farm's social media strategy-from planning and content direction to publishing, community engagement, influencer collaboration, and performance analysis. You'll develop the strategy behind our social presence, write creative briefs, guide content development, and partner with our Creative, Production, Merchandising, Marketing, and Media teams to deliver engaging campaigns that support business goals.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute Fleet Farm's social media strategy aligned with marketing objectives, promotional calendars, seasonal campaigns, and key business initiatives.

Create strategies that increase customer engagement, grow brand awareness, attract new customers, strengthen customer loyalty, and support overall business growth.

Identify opportunities to leverage product launches, promotions, cultural moments, seasonal events, and lifestyle content across social channels.

Stay current on emerging social media trends, platform updates, AI tools, and consumer behavior, recommending innovative approaches that keep Fleet Farm relevant.

Determine the best content, messaging, channels, timing, and publishing cadence for each campaign.

Content Planning & Creative Direction

Own and manage Fleet Farm's social media content calendar across multiple platforms.

Write strategic creative briefs that clearly define campaign objectives, target audiences, messaging, content requirements, success metrics, and brand guidelines.

Partner with Creative and Video Production teams by providing strategic direction while empowering them to develop engaging concepts.

Review and approve social content to ensure it aligns with campaign objectives, brand standards, and platform best practices.

Manage projects from concept through publication to ensure campaigns launch on time and deliver results.

Organic Social Media Management

Schedule, publish, and optimize content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms using Hootsuite and platform-native tools.

Optimize posting cadence and timing using audience insights and performance analytics.

Support Fleet Farm's LinkedIn presence by promoting company culture, hiring initiatives, community involvement, milestones, and corporate news.

Community Engagement

Monitor comments, messages, reviews, and customer conversations across all social platforms.

Respond to customers in a timely, professional, and authentic manner that reflects the Fleet Farm brand.

Escalate customer service issues to appropriate internal teams when necessary.

Monitor brand mentions and identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and brand reputation utilizing social listening tools.

Influencer & Creator Partnerships

Partner with agency teams to support Fleet Farm's influencer and creator marketing strategy.

Identify, contract and manage creators and influencers who align with Fleet Farm's brand and customer audiences.

Coordinate influencer campaigns and user-generated content initiatives.

Evaluate campaign performance and recommend future partnership opportunities.

Partner with Paid Media teams and agency partners to ensure organic and paid social strategies work together effectively.

Provide strategic recommendations for paid social creative and messaging.

Support boosted posts and paid social activations through Meta Business Suite and Hootsuite when appropriate.

Analytics & Performance

Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including:

Engagement

Reach

Impressions

Website traffic

Conversion

Translate analytics into actionable insights and recommendations that improve future campaigns.

Conduct competitive benchmarking and leverage social listening to identify customer insights, emerging trends, and opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Integrated Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Production, Media, and external partners to support integrated marketing campaigns.

Serve as Fleet Farm's internal resource for social media best practices and emerging platform opportunities.

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree

in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Social Media Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field

or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

2-4 years of professional experience managing social media strategy for a consumer-facing brand, retailer, lifestyle brand, or marketing agency.

Experience using social media management platforms such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Buffer, or similar tools.

Experience with Meta Business Suite and social advertising platforms.

Strong understanding of current social media trends, platform algorithms, content strategy, and audience engagement best practices.

Experience developing content calendars and writing creative briefs.

Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and recommend improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within retail, outdoor, sporting goods, farm & ranch, lifestyle, consumer brands, or agency environments.

Experience supporting influencer marketing or creator partnerships.

Experience collaborating with creative teams, photographers, and video production.

Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools and emerging social media technologies.
