About the role As the Head of Strategic Accounts at Iron, you will be responsible for managing and growing the company's most important enterprise clients after the initial sale. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing strategies to retain these key accounts, expand revenue, and deepen client engagement. You will work closely with Iron's founders and senior leadership team to align client needs with the company's overall business objectives. This leadership role involves building strong relationships with high-level stakeholders, guiding account strategies, and ensuring customer success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will serve as the main point of contact for strategic clients, representing Iron in high-stakes discussions and negotiations, and providing strategic insights to inform product development and market positioning.

What you'll do
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic account management framework that includes operating procedures, performance metrics, customer segmentation, and account planning strategies.
Take ownership of net revenue retention and revenue growth across the strategic account portfolio, ensuring alignment with Iron's overall commercial goals.
Build and maintain high-level relationships with executives at major client organizations, including founders, C-suite leaders, and operational decision-makers.
Act as a trusted advisor to strategic clients, understanding their business needs, challenges, and growth plans, and translating these insights into actionable strategies.
Serve as the primary liaison between strategic clients and Iron's Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams, ensuring customer feedback and requirements are incorporated into product development cycles.
Define and execute account strategies for managing large enterprise clients, including onboarding, renewal processes, and expansion initiatives.
Lead complex negotiations related to contracts, renewals, and pricing discussions to maximize revenue and ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
Conduct regular executive business reviews with clients to share insights, demonstrate value, and identify new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Gather and synthesize customer feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence to inform product roadmaps and commercial strategies.
Monitor account health, engagement levels, and satisfaction metrics, designing initiatives to improve retention, increase customer lifetime value, and foster long-term partnerships.
Analyze competitive landscape dynamics and industry trends to position Iron's offerings effectively and identify new market opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer management and satisfaction.
Represent Iron in high-stakes discussions with strategic partners, industry stakeholders, and at industry events, enhancing the company's reputation and market presence.
Lead efforts to identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts, contributing to overall revenue growth.
Support the onboarding and training of new team members in account management best practices and company processes.
Maintain a deep understanding of the fintech landscape, including payments, stablecoins, and infrastructure, to better serve client needs and position Iron's solutions effectively.
Requirements
Extensive experience in Strategic Account Management, Customer Success, or Commercial leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing and growing enterprise accounts.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute account strategies that result in high retention rates and revenue growth.
Strong relationship-building skills, with experience engaging and influencing C-suite executives and high-level stakeholders.
Proven commercial instincts, with a history of identifying growth opportunities within strategic accounts and translating customer needs into business solutions.
Experience managing complex negotiations, including contract renewals, pricing, and partnership agreements.
Solid understanding of the financial technology sector, including payments, fintech infrastructure, and stablecoins.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret customer data, market trends, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive customer success and product improvements.
Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and lead initiatives that impact company growth.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus, given the location.
