Role Overview
Game Developer/Designer applies game design and development expertise to evaluate and improve AI systems'' understanding of real-world game development tasks. You will create examples and assets, craft domain-specific prompts, and assess model outputs to help shape AI behavior for game development workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Apply professional game development and design knowledge to AI research tasks that mirror real-world workflows
Develop domain-specific prompts, test cases, and example scenarios for large language models
Evaluate and annotate LLM responses, providing detailed feedback on accuracy, relevance, and clarity
Create or modify game assets, scenes, or code samples using your preferred tools to illustrate realistic tasks
Work asynchronously with research teams, completing assigned tasks independently
Learn and adapt new skills while contributing to interdisciplinary AI projects
Qualifications
At least 1+ years of full-time work experience using one or more of the following tools: Godot, LibreSprite, O3DE, Stride, Defold, Solar2D, MonoGame, libGDX, Panda3D, Cocos2d-x, PyCharm, or other related game development tools
Proven ability to work asynchronously and communicate findings with remote research teams

Location: Remote, asynchronous work from any location
Schedule: Flexible hours, no minimum weekly commitment
Employment type: PART_TIME
Program runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically; placement into specific projects depends on project availability
Compensation
Up to $125/hr (depending on the project)
Eligibility
F-1 students with eligibility for CPT or OPT may be able to participate; consult your Designated School Official to confirm your eligibility
If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement
STEM OPT is not supported
