StaffBuffalo is working with a rapidly growing materials organization to hire an
Order Management & Account Specialist , paying $25-$28 per hour. This role joins a close-knit and established Customer Success team as a new addition during an important period of company growth and operational change.
The
Order Management & Account Specialist
will take full ownership of assigned customer accounts and manage the entire purchase order lifecycle, from order receipt through shipment and invoicing. This person will serve as the primary day-to-day contact for purchasing agents and buyers while coordinating closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to keep orders accurate, inventory aligned, and customers informed.

This is an In-Person, On-site role, in the Northtowns.
Responsibilities:
Own assigned customer accounts and serve as the primary day-to-day contact for purchasing needs, order updates, changes, and expectations.
Manage the complete purchase order lifecycle from receipt through shipment and invoicing, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, ship dates, logistics, and system records.
Track backorders, monitor order status, and provide proactive communication to customers while resolving issues before they affect delivery or service.
Allocate and reallocate inventory based on availability, customer priorities, and changing delivery timelines, while monitoring stock levels and lead times.
Partner with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to align material availability with demand, identify supply or logistics risks, and support accurate order execution.
Maintain order integrity within ERP and CRM systems and contribute practical ideas that improve efficiency, communication, and the overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
Experience in customer service, customer success, account management, sales support, or order management, with B2B experience preferred.
Order management experience involving inventory, allocation, backorders, purchasing coordination, or delivery timelines.
Experience with ERP or CRM systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook; Dynamics and SalesPad experience is highly valued.
Manufacturing, distribution, or raw materials industry experience is helpful.
Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and shifting priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proactive problem-solving approach, and the ability to anticipate customer needs.
