Job Description:
The client is seeking a skilled Broadcast Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and support critical broadcast infrastructure from a centralized hub operation serving dozens of television stations.
Job Summary
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast equipment supporting multiple TV stations from the client's central hub facility.
• Monitor and support signal routing, video servers, and broadcast infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted on-air operations.
• Configure, install, and maintain broadcast hardware, servers, and specialized hub equipment.
• Perform Windows Server updates and routine system maintenance across a large-scale server environment.
• Troubleshoot issues spanning broadcast systems, networking, routers, converters, video switches, and virtual environments.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to support reliable broadcast operations across a wide station footprint.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed, including occasional weekend schedules with weekday offsets.
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 2.5 years of hands-on broadcast maintenance experience in a television broadcasting environment or hub (3+ years preferred for senior-level consideration).
• Demonstrated experience maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting broadcast equipment, not solely operating it.
• Hands-on experience with Evertz routing systems (routers and converters), required.
• Experience with VistaLINK PRO monitoring, required.
• Experience with broadcast and video servers in a production television environment.
• Windows Server administration and maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of IP fundamentals and IT basics as applied to broadcast infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Harmonic video servers.
• Experience with Crispin automation or a comparable broadcast master control automation platform.
• Background supporting centralized hub operations across multiple stations.
• Exposure to networking, virtual machines, video switches, and related broadcast infrastructure.
• Former Master Control Operator background with a desire to transition into a hands-on engineering role.
