Editor Contractor

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Editor Contractor will provide substantive editing and proofreading services for complex public reports, research documents, and presentations while collaborating closely with project leadership teams to ensure quality and adherence to deadlines.
Key responsibilities

Provide substantive editing and proofreading for a variety of materials, ensuring readability and maintaining authors' writing styles
Maintain consistent style and format throughout documents while ensuring accuracy in references and footnotes
Coordinate with project leadership to manage workflow and ensure timely completion of editorial tasks

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred
Experience in writing, editing, and proofreading complex publications and research reports
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with document formatting and design software
Strong understanding of style guides and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality in a fast-paced environment
