Contract Writer for Commentary

Seeking a theologically trained writer, the remote Contract Writer for Commentary on Gospels and Acts will collaborate with a team to research and write accessible, Christ-centered commentary, ensuring alignment with doctrinal commitments while addressing theological themes and interpretive questions.
Key responsibilities

Collaborate with contributors under editorial and theological oversight to develop commentary content
Research and write assigned portions of the Gospels and/or Acts, providing clear and structured commentary
Revise material based on editorial and peer review, ensuring theological accuracy and accessibility for lay readers

Required qualifications

Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or another advanced theology degree required
Demonstrated competency in New Testament exegesis and working knowledge of Koine Greek
A clearly articulated Christ-centered hermeneutic with familiarity in evangelical scholarship
Experience in pastoral ministry, theological education, or substantive Bible teaching preferred
Ability to write clearly for educated lay readers and collaborate within a multi-author theological project
