Typescript Developer

Location: Malvern, PA Duration: 6 Months Work Experience: 8+ Years
Responsibilities
The engineer’s primary responsibility will be building a web application with front-end and backend components, all written in Typescript. Secondary responsibilities will include backend infrastructure, configuration, and operations work for the same application.
The application is currently in an alpha phase and being tested by end users. This contract is about bringing the software from its alpha state to minimum viable product and beyond. The application in question is one that enables decision makers to run statistical simulations and forecast the outcome of various initiatives. Check out books like ‘Superforecasting’ on Amazon for an idea of the activity this tool is trying to support.
The engineer can expect clear guidance on what should be built, how it should look, and how it should behave. The engineer will collaborate with the technical lead on implementation details and design but will generally be expected to build robust high-quality software with little guidance.
Will participate in sprint ceremonies. (planning/standup/review). Individual contributor role focused on delivering their own outputs.
Qualifications
Required:
5-8 years engineering experience
Love of clean, readable code
Love of best practices and understanding how technology works
Experience with Modern HTML/CSS/JavaScript (flexbox, grid-layout, html5). Should produce high quality, markup, CSS, and exploit modern browser capabilities without guidance.
Experience with Node ecosystem, Node build systems and TypeScript
Experience with Angular, and RxJS.
Experience with NestJS and WebSockets.
Bonus:
Experience with AWS (Lambda and DynamoDB).
Experience working on statistical applications and simulation.
Experience working with docker, container technology, and Kubernetes.
Experience with Okta authentication.
