Wet Coat Painter - 2nd Shift

Job TitleThis position will perform advanced level work in the painting and finishing of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. Cleans and prepares paint surfaces as well as cleans surrounding areas to ensure the best product possible. Mixes various kinds of paint to exact tolerances and adheres to paint manufacturers specifications to ensure a high-quality finish.Responsibilities include:Cleaning and preparing paint surfaceSanding premiered surfaces when neededMixing paintWearing paint suits mask/hood and gloves or other PPEMoving material with forklift or by hand when applicableHanging and unhanging product as needed.Proper storage of paint suppliesProper disposal of paint residueThis position interacts with shop employees and management.Competency or position requirements:Must know how to properly maintain and wear paint suits mask/hood and gloves or other PPEMust know how to paint using a pressure pot and an HVLP Pressure/Siphon Feed Spray gunMust clean work area after useMust know how to use proper equipment to hang products for paintingAll Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor's core values of being:Customer-FocusedPassionate about WorkSolution-OrientedDriven by IntegrityEducation and/or experience:High school diploma or GED1-2+ years of experience in powder coatingEquipment used:HVLP Pressure/Siphon Feed Spray gunPaint PotMeasuring equipment such as paint stick and or cupsWorking and physical conditions:This position will be in an indoor work environment, standing in one place for long periods of time, walking, and bending their body in different directions according to how parts should be painted.
