Job Title: AV Tech Repair SpecialistSupervisor: Mr. Nick NagovichEmployment Period: 12 monthsEmployment Status: Full-TimeGrades and Salaries:AV Tech Repair Specialist I H-13: $21.17 - $33.72AV Tech Repair Specialist II H-14: $23.11 - $36.71AV Tech Repair Specialist Sr H-15: $25.14 - $40.00Start Date: As soon as possibleDuties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, troubleshoot, and repair audio-visual systems at 30+ sites including:Projectors and screensSound systems (amplifiers, microphones, speakers, mixing boards)Stage lighting (lights, control consoles, mixing boards)School cameras and video distribution systems (e.g. daily announcement video shows)Televisions and cable TVPerform as-needed temporary AV installations, setups, and de-installationsTransport AV equipment using division-owned vehiclesResearch AV hardware specifications, compatibilities, and pricing in order to make purchasing recommendationsCoordinate and oversee the AV work of third-party contractors at sites as neededAssist with the installation and troubleshooting of Promethean interactive displaysAssist with network wiring and troubleshootingProactively plan hardware life-cycles for replacements and upgradesFind inefficiencies in processes and systems and design corrective solutionsCollaborate with other staff to design and implement solutions to specific problemsJob RequirementsProfessional work experience with commercial-level AV installation, operation, maintenance, and repairProfessional work experience with power tools, including saws, drills, and other hand toolsProfessional work experience with ethernet wiring, hardware, and systemsAbility to select and use industry-standard safe and proper installation methods, hardware, and tools for a variety of wall and ceiling materialsAbility to troubleshoot and repair systems quickly and efficientlyAbility to learn new systems quickly and efficientlyAbility to communicate clearly and positively, both verbally and in writingAbility to organize and prioritize multiple daily tasksAbility to collaborate positively with other staff, both technical and non-technicalAbility to use a variety of computing form factors and platformsAbility to operate a computer in an office environment dailyAbility to safely lift up to 70 poundsAbility to safely climb 6-12' ladders for installation purposesAbility to safely drive a transport vanAcceptable driving record (DMV records will be queried)Application RequirementsResumeCollege or University transcript, if applicableTwo or more professional referencesOnly complete applications will be considered.
