Audio/Video Programming SpecialistDavis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking an Audio/Video Programming Specialist to program, configure, integrate, and support advanced audio/video, automation, lighting, surveillance, and control systems. In this role, you'll serve as the technical expert for system programming and commissioning while collaborating with project managers, team members, and customers to deliver high-quality technology solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AV technologies, support complex integration projects, and provide exceptional customer experiences through innovative system design and programming.The Audio/Video Programming Specialist is responsible for programming, configuring, commissioning, installing, and supporting advanced audio/video and automation systems. This role serves as the primary technical resource for system programming, integration, troubleshooting, and optimization while ensuring projects are delivered according to customer requirements and company standards. The position partners closely with Project Managers, installation teams, and customers to ensure systems are properly programmed, tested, documented, and supported throughout the project lifecycle. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.A Day in the Life:Program, configure, test, troubleshoot, and optimize audio/video, automation, and control systemsConfigure and commission integrated AV systems to ensure all components operate as designedInstall and configure network, Wi-Fi, surveillance, and remote access solutions supporting AV technologiesCalibrate televisions, projectors, audio systems, and related equipment for optimal performanceMaintain programming documentation and system configuration recordsInstall, integrate, terminate, and commission audio/video, automation, surveillance, and control systemsInstall conference room technology, digital signage, distributed audio/video systems, and Direct View LED displaysPerform structured cabling installation, termination, testing, and certificationBuild, organize, and maintain equipment racks while ensuring system reliability and effective cable managementProvide customer training and education on installed systems and technologiesTroubleshoot technical issues involving AV, networking, automation, access control, and surveillance systemsCollaborate with Project Managers on system design, implementation, programming requirements, and project executionComplete commissioning reports, installation documentation, programming records, and service notesManage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting customer expectations and project deadlinesSupport continuous improvement efforts that enhance programming efficiency, installation quality, and customer satisfactionMaintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & Skills:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of five (5) years of experience in audio/video installation, integration, programming, or a related fieldStrong experience programming and configuring audio/video and automation systemsGeneral knowledge of AV industry technologies, installation standards, and best practicesExcellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to customer service and quality workmanshipSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamValid Driver's License in good standingAbility to lift and move 50 pounds individually and team lift up to 100 poundsAbility to pass a criminal background check and drug screeningIndustry certifications such as Control4, Q-Sys, Atlona, Crestron, Extron, Shure, Dante, CTS, or similar credentials preferredExperience with commercial AV integration projects preferredExperience programming advanced automation and control systems preferredExperience configuring network and Wi-Fi systems for AV environments preferredExperience with surveillance, access control, and digital signage technologies preferredKnowledge of conference room collaboration solutions and integrated communication platforms preferredDesire to continuously learn and stay current with emerging technologies and industry trendsStrong attention to detail and commitment to technical excellenceAbility to build positive relationships with customers, project managers, and team membersBenefits & Culture:Our success is based on our customers' confidence in us, our people's loyalty, hard work, and performance, and the traditions with which Mr. Davis H.
