DESCRIPTION
Part-Time Graphic Designer

The Theater Center, an Off-Broadway venue in the heart of Manhattan, is seeking a skilled graphic designer to provide approximately eight hours of design support each week. This person will work directly with a member of our leadership team to execute a variety of creative projects as they arise.

Responsibilities

Turn ideas and creative direction into polished visual concepts

Create professional mockups and renderings

Edit, retouch, and composite photographs

Create multiple options or revisions based on feedback

Prepare finished files for digital use

Assist with other graphic-design projects as needed

Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop

Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, photo compositing, and realistic mockup work

Excellent understanding of perspective, scale, lighting, shadows, typography, and layout

Ability to create convincing visual renderings using existing photographs

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow creative direction

Ability to work independently and complete projects efficiently

Proficiency in Illustrator and/or InDesign is a plus

Experience with environmental graphics, signage, architectural visualization, or experiential design is a plus

Schedule and Compensation

Approximately 8 hours per week

$200 per week ($25 per hour)

Flexible scheduling based on current projects

Ongoing part-time position
