About the Role


The Company is seeking a Market Public Affairs Leader to serve as the senior-most Public Affairs executive within the market. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing and protecting the company's reputation, mission, strategic priorities, and business objectives through a wide range of activities, including integrated communications, media relations, community affairs, stakeholder engagement, local government relations, executive positioning, and issues management. This role requires a strategic leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience in public affairs or related disciplines, a Bachelor's degree, and a proven track record of advising senior leaders and leading through complex environments. The Market Public Affairs Leader will also be accountable for ensuring that enterprise Public Affairs priorities are effectively translated into market strategies and that local market realities inform enterprise decision-making.

Key responsibilities for the Market Public Affairs Leader include serving as the primary Public Affairs point of contact for market leadership, leading a market-based Public Affairs team, and maintaining strong relationships with local media, community leaders, and other influential stakeholders. The role demands a visible executive presence, the ability to balance enterprise consistency with local relevance, and a commitment to maintaining a coordinated, visible, and trusted presence throughout the communities the company serves. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in healthcare or a highly regulated industry, and an advanced degree is preferred. They must be adept at operating within matrixed organizations, leading through influence, and have a proven ability to build trusted relationships across various external stakeholder groups.
